RYSE — Terms & Conditions

1. Provider

Y Padel, Zeppenheimer Straße 32, 40489 Düsseldorf, Germany. Email: info@ypadel.net. Owner: Youssef Ahmed Amen Abdelmajeed elDidi. Under current German tax law, Y Padel qualifies as a small business (Kleinunternehmer, § 19 UStG). VAT is therefore not separately itemised where the requirements for this are met.

2. Scope

These terms apply to YPADEL memberships, RYSE tournament registrations, participation in RYSE events, rankings/ranking points, and use of the YPADEL platform. The RYSE Court Rules additionally apply to on-court play.

3. Eligibility

RYSE is open exclusively to participants aged 18 and over. By registering, the participant confirms they have reached the age of 18, have full legal capacity, that their information is accurate, and that they meet the requirements of the tournament booked. Participation by minors is not possible.

4. YPADEL Membership

Every player needs an active YPADEL membership to take part in a RYSE tournament. Membership is separate from the tournament entry fee.

  • Monthly: €9 per month, renews automatically until cancelled.
  • 3 Month: €25, valid for three consecutive months.
  • Season: €50, valid for one full RYSE season. A season comprises 18 official RYSE Tour events. It begins with the first official event of the season and ends after the 18th official event. Scheduled breaks, holidays, or changes to the tournament calendar do not shorten a season membership.
  • A statutory 14-day right of withdrawal applies to the membership (see § 10a and the RYSE Withdrawal Notice). If the participant wants immediate access to membership benefits before the withdrawal period ends, a separate explicit consent is required at the time the contract is concluded. If the membership has already been used to register for a RYSE tournament, the membership fee is non-refundable on a later withdrawal; if it was not used for any tournament registration, the full fee is refunded. Details are set out in the RYSE Withdrawal Notice.

5. Cancelling the Monthly Membership

The monthly membership renews automatically each month until cancelled via the cancellation function at ypadel.net/kuendigung. Cancellation takes effect for the future. The statutory right of withdrawal under § 10a is unaffected by this and is exercised via ypadel.net/widerruf.

6. RYSE Tournament Registration

RYSE tournaments are run as team competitions with two players per team. The entry fee is charged per team. Every player must hold an active YPADEL membership. Bronze, Silver, and Gold are tournament/prize tiers, not skill levels. The skill levels are Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Pro.

7. Entry Fees

The applicable fee is shown before the booking is completed. Y Padel does not charge any additional surcharge for Stripe payments; the payment processing fees are borne by Y Padel.

  • Intermediate — Bronze €80 · Silver €90 · Gold €105
  • Advanced — Bronze €90 · Silver €100 · Gold €115
  • Pro — Bronze €100 · Silver €110 · Gold €125

8. Conclusion of Contract and Payment

A binding contract for participation in the selected tournament is formed once the booking process is completed and the order requiring payment is submitted. Payment is currently processed via Stripe. Before submitting the order, the key contract details, price, and applicable terms are clearly displayed. The final order button clearly indicates the obligation to pay, e.g. "Order with obligation to pay."

9. Cancellation by Participant (Tournament Fee)

No-show: no refund.

  • Up to and including 21 days (three weeks) before the tournament: the participant may cancel the tournament registration free of charge and receives a full refund of the tournament fee paid.
  • Less than 21 days (three weeks) before the tournament: the tournament fee is non-refundable.

10. Statutory Right of Withdrawal — Tournament Fee

RYSE tournaments are leisure/sporting events with a specific, fixed event date. Under § 312g(2) No. 9 BGB, contracts for certain leisure activities generally carry no statutory right of withdrawal where a specific date or period is contractually fixed. Mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected.

10a. Statutory Right of Withdrawal — YPADEL Membership

The YPADEL membership is an ongoing subscription with no fixed single date, and therefore does not fall under the exception in § 312g(2) No. 9 BGB. Consumers therefore have the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal. Details, the model withdrawal form, and the rules on the early start of membership and pro-rata compensation are set out in the RYSE Withdrawal Notice, which is provided before the contract is concluded.

11. Substitute Players

If a registered player is unable to participate, Y Padel may, at its own organisational discretion, permit a substitute player. The substitute must meet the participation requirements — including being of legal age — and hold an active YPADEL membership. Admitting a substitute player does not create any additional right to a refund.

12. Cancellation or Rescheduling by Y Padel

If Y Padel cancels a tournament and the booked service is not provided, the affected participant receives a full refund of the tournament fee paid. In the event of a rescheduling, Y Padel will inform participants of the new date and the available options. Statutory rights remain unaffected.

13. Tournament Format and Court Rules

Format and running order may vary depending on skill level, number of participants, tier, available court capacity, and organisational circumstances. The RYSE Court Rules as communicated apply to on-court play.

14. Conduct and Disqualification

  • Participants must act fairly and respectfully towards opponents, staff, the venue, and other participants.
  • Serious unsportsmanlike conduct, threats, violence, deliberate cheating, manipulation of results, or intentional damage to property may lead to disqualification.
  • Tournament decisions required for the immediate running of the event are binding for that event, without excluding any mandatory statutory rights.

15. Rankings and Points

Y Padel may award ranking points based on tournament results. Points may depend on skill level, tier, placement, and tournament format. Obvious administrative or scoring errors may be corrected.

16. Prizes

The prizes applicable to a specific tournament are shown before registration. Y Padel may also offer prizes in kind, equipment, trips, or other expressly announced prizes depending on the tournament. The current prize structure (winner / runner-up) is:

  • Beginner — Bronze €140/€70 · Silver €180/€80 · Gold €230/€95
  • Intermediate — Bronze €200/€80 · Silver €250/€90 · Gold €300/€105
  • Advanced — Bronze €300/€100 · Silver €350/€160 · Gold €420/€225
  • Pro — Bronze €500/€270 · Silver €600/€330 · Gold €700/€400

17. Photo and Video

RYSE events may be photographed and filmed. Details on event documentation and promotional use are set out in the RYSE Photo & Video Notice and the RYSE Privacy Policy.

18. Liability

Y Padel is liable in accordance with statutory provisions. Liability is not excluded or limited where such exclusion is not legally permitted, in particular for mandatory liability for intent, certain cases of gross negligence, and injury to life, body, or health. Participants are responsible for their personal belongings and their own responsible sporting participation.

19. Changes

Y Padel may update these terms for future bookings. Contracts already concluded remain governed by the terms in effect at the time the contract was concluded, unless mandatory statutory provisions allow otherwise.

20. Governing Law

German law applies. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the country in which the participant has their habitual residence remain unaffected.
