RYSE — Photo & Video Notice
Last updated: October 2026
1. Purpose
RYSE is a sports community and media brand. Photos and videos may be taken at RYSE events to document the event and to communicate about it.
2. Event Documentation
In general event footage, participants may be recognisable in the background or as part of a larger group. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in event documentation and communication (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) as well as the exemption for images from gatherings/as incidental accessory (§ 23(1) Nos. 2 and 3 KunstUrhG).
3. Featured Individual Shots
For shots in which a person is clearly the focus and the material is intended for promotional use, Y Padel will obtain explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 22 KunstUrhG). This consent is informed, specific, and tied to the particular purpose of use; a blanket consent for "all publications" is not sufficient.
4. Places of Publication
Instagram/Meta and YouTube/Google transfer data to the USA; the respective providers put appropriate safeguards in place for this, in particular EU Standard Contractual Clauses. See the RYSE Privacy Policy for further details.

5. Objection / Enquiries
Participants who do not wish to appear in promotional individual shots can contact info@ypadel.net, ideally before the event. For individual shots taken with consent, that consent can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). For general event footage under Section 2, there is no automatic right to deletion, but rather a right to object under Art. 21 GDPR, which is weighed against our interest in event documentation on a case-by-case basis.
6. Minimum Age
RYSE is currently open exclusively to participants aged 18 and over. No photos or videos of minor participants are therefore created at RYSE events. Separate rules for participation, consents, and media capture will be established for future junior events, once such events are offered.
7. Retention
General event material is retained for the duration of the relevant season plus up to 2 years thereafter for archival and recap purposes. Promotional individual shots are deleted or removed from our own channels upon withdrawal of consent, where technically and legally possible. Content already shared by third parties on social media platforms may not be fully retrievable.
8. Data Protection
Further information on the processing of personal data and the rights of data subjects is set out in the RYSE Privacy Policy.
